Bureau of Land Management Mineral Land Leasing

image36

Trump’s Bureau of Land Management released their draft plan for new oil and gas leasing on public lands in most of the Central Coast and Central Valley. They intend to reopen more than a million acres of public land and mineral estate to fracking and drilling – a disaster for our climate and health.

The comment period for the draft plan opened on April 26 and runs through June 10. There will be three public meetings, and one of these will be in San Luis Obispo. It’s on us to say NO to drilling and fracking in the name of our health, wildlife and climate.

A rally and comment period will be held on May 22nd from 5pm-8.
